Adel brings over 17 years of experience in zakat and tax compliance, advisory, and international tax across Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the wider Middle East. His expertise spans a broad range of tax services, supporting businesses in navigating the complexities of local and cross-border taxation.
He advises clients on various zakat and tax compliance matters, including capital gains tax, double tax treaties, and broader tax structuring strategies. Adel also specialises in VAT implementation readiness across the Middle East, providing technical guidance to businesses in key sectors such as industrial, trading, banking, insurance, hospitality, construction, and telecommunications.
Before joining Grant Thornton, Adel worked with EY in Jordan, as well as Deloitte and PwC in Saudi Arabia, where he was the primary point of contact for zakat and tax compliance matters. His deep understanding of regional tax frameworks and regulatory developments enables him to deliver strategic and practical solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
